PROPERTIES OF POLYGONS

                            My innovative work is related to the properties of polygons. Polygons are closed figures with more than two sides. triangle, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon etc are examples. 

                          

                           Since there are so many polygons it is difficult for the students to remember all the properties. in this innovative work  the properties of  polygon are explained in an attractive way. That will help the students to remember the properties easily.

                        There are four boxes. outer box contain the common properties of polygons. Next boxes describes the properties of triangle, rectangle, pentagon hexagon etc in an innovative way.

കഥാപ്രസംഗ രൂപത്തിലാണ് ഇത്  എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

                                    ചതുർഭുജ കുടുംബം എന്നതാണ്  കഥാപ്രസംഗത്തിൻ്റെ പേര്

          ചതുരം, സമചതുരം, സാമാന്തരികം,   സമഭുജസാമാന്തരികം, ലംബകം, 

             സമപാർശ്വ  ലംബകം തുടങ്ങിയവയുടെ പ്രത്യേകതകളാണ്  

                              കഥാപ്രസംഗത്തിലൂടെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. 

ST. CHAVARA DAY

CHAVARA DAY 2020


                                                      

             Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara Day is celebrating on the  3rd of January every year. He is one of the first Indian male saint whio within a short span of time left an everlasting mark in this world with his enthusiasm, compassion and dedication. We Christ Nagarians celebrated this purest soul today.

          

         I got the opportunity to give a talk about st chavara  . He is a person who, despite all circumstances sacrificed his entire life for the betterment of society as he believed, "days on which you have not rendered any good to others, will not be reckoned in the book of your life".           
          The programme got started with our Director, Fr Sony Sebastians speech on Saint Chavara. Later on,  I gave  a description about his life and social works.I  sang a few of his poetry in the end of the sessions.  The programme got ended with a small exhibition of Saint Chavara's books. We also got the privilege to have one of his books along with sweets as a token of gift. St. Chavara who was beatified by Saint Pope John Paul II during his historic visit to India on 8 February 1986 and was canonized by Pope Francis at St. Peter’s Square on 23 November 2014 is truly an inspiration for generations to come.

REFLECTION - SIXTH AND SEVENTH WEEK OF MY TEACHING PRACTICE 9/12/2019 - 18/12/2019

                Christmas examination started on  9/11/2019 Monday. We had examination duty. Every day there were two batches for examination. Morning section and afternoon section.

                We completed our teaching practice in St. Xavier's H.S.S On  18/11/2019. It was really a memorable experience. I have got opportunities to find out my weakness and realize  my strength.  It was really a good foundation for my teaching carrier. The teachers were also very supportive. 

TEACHING PRACTICE FIFTH WEEK 2/12/2019 - 6/12/2019

 since  Christmas examination is going to start on ninth January on wards I have to complete the the chapter Ratio In this week.  I have got 9 classes in 8D. I gave them remedial classes on the basis of diagnostic test. And also I conducted  an achievement test in order to find out their achievements in the chapter construction of parallelogram.

                           

                       I used activity method, ICT, Constructivist  model, Problem solving and inquiry training model to teach  them different concepts. 

FOURTH WEEK OF MY TEACHING PRACTICE 25/11/2019 - 29/11/2019

 In this week I finished first chapter and conducted a diagnostic test. the topics selected for the test  were the construction of square, rectangle and parallelogram. after evaluating their papers I found out that students have confusions with the construction of rectangle when the length of the diagonals are given.  I decided to give them remedial teaching on Monday

        

           I  began to teach the new chapter Ratio in this week. On 28/11/2019, I conducted a Conscientization program on the topic "Importance of respecting parents and teachers" in   standard 8B. 

             in this week I have got opportunities to observe 3 classes of Somiya jose.
