REFLECTION - SIXTH AND SEVENTH WEEK OF MY TEACHING PRACTICE 9/12/2019 - 18/12/2019

                Christmas examination started on  9/11/2019 Monday. We had examination duty. Every day there were two batches for examination. Morning section and afternoon section.

                We completed our teaching practice in St. Xavier's H.S.S On  18/11/2019. It was really a memorable experience. I have got opportunities to find out my weakness and realize  my strength.  It was really a good foundation for my teaching carrier. The teachers were also very supportive. 

TEACHING PRACTICE FIFTH WEEK 2/12/2019 - 6/12/2019

 since  Christmas examination is going to start on ninth January on wards I have to complete the the chapter Ratio In this week.  I have got 9 classes in 8D. I gave them remedial classes on the basis of diagnostic test. And also I conducted  an achievement test in order to find out their achievements in the chapter construction of parallelogram.

                           

                       I used activity method, ICT, Constructivist  model, Problem solving and inquiry training model to teach  them different concepts. 

FOURTH WEEK OF MY TEACHING PRACTICE 25/11/2019 - 29/11/2019

 In this week I finished first chapter and conducted a diagnostic test. the topics selected for the test  were the construction of square, rectangle and parallelogram. after evaluating their papers I found out that students have confusions with the construction of rectangle when the length of the diagonals are given.  I decided to give them remedial teaching on Monday

        

           I  began to teach the new chapter Ratio in this week. On 28/11/2019, I conducted a Conscientization program on the topic "Importance of respecting parents and teachers" in   standard 8B. 

             in this week I have got opportunities to observe 3 classes of Somiya jose. 

TEACHING PRACTICE THIRD WEAK 18/11/2019 - 22/11/2019

                

                 In this week I have got  9 classes in 8D. I taught them the construction of rectangle, parallelogram, rhombus, trapezium and isosceles trapezium.  

             

              This time I used a new teaching model that is inqury  training model. Since the students were not familiar with this model there were some starting problems. But when I encourage them to ask questions they actively participated in asking questions and solving problems. in order to teach the construction of rhombus I used ICT. It was really effective. the images, videos, and PPTs were helpful for the students to catch the idea easily. 

                  There where morning assembly on Wednesday. prizes for winners in different competitions were distributed. in this week                                                 interact with students in FM radio.

1. Create positive thoughts about your parents.
Our emotions are affected by our thoughts. Therefore, if you want to be more understanding to your parents, you should start by thinking positively about them.

2. Understand where they are coming from.
Be open-minded about the generation gap between you and your parents. Know also that they are guided by their own experiences when dealing with you.

3. Talk to them constantly.
Communication can help you understand the thoughts of your parents. It will also strengthen your relationship as family.

4. Express your gratitude to them.

Always take time to thank your parents for their sacrifices and everything they do for you. You can never repay them for all they have done for you.

5. Appreciate every little thing they do for you.
Along with saying ‘thank you’, praise them for the things they do to help and make you feel loved. Your appreciation means a lot to them.

6. Obey their house rules (especially if you still live with them).
You need to respect their authority as the heads of the household. That is why it is your responsibility to obey their house rules, unless you want to move out and live on your own.

7. Watch your language when you are with them.
Avoid saying foul words, especially when your parents are around. You should also be courteous when talking to them.8. Practice saying ‘please’.

In case there is something you need their help with like passing the food across the table, always remember to use the magic word ‘please’.

9. Respect their decisions.
There could be some decisions your parents make that you do not agree with. You can try telling them your thoughts about those, but if they do not accept your ideas, just accept and respect them.

10. Prioritize them over friends and boyfriend/girlfriend.
Always put your family, especially your parents, above other people. Friends and boyfriends/girlfriends may come and go, but your family is forever.

11. Do not talk back.
I believe it is okay to reason out to your parents if you need them to understand your side. However, do this in a gentle and respectful manner—not arguing with them and imposing your views. If they tell you to shut up, then do not say anything.

8. Practice saying ‘please’.

     സരോജം ആണ് ഈയാഴ്ചയിൽ FM റേഡിയോയിൽ വന്നിരുന്നത്.

അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു സഞ്ചാര സാഹിത്യകാരിയും ഒപ്പം ഒരു കഥാകൃത്തുമാണ്.ജീവിതാനുഭവങ്ങൾ കോർത്തിണക്കി വളരെ മനോഹരമായി സന്ദേശങ്ങൾ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് നൽകി.ഒപ്പം കുറെ നല്ല പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

OATH TAKING CEREMONY

                          Christ Nagar college  of education conducted an oath taking ceremony  for the newly elected union members. This function was originally inagurated by  respected principal Dr. M.S Geetha. each member took oath recited by the principal. The second year bacth students handed over  the charge to the newly elected members. The programe concluded with delivering the vote of thanks.

TEACHING PRACTICE SECOND WEEK 11/11/2019 - 15/11/2019

                        In this week  I got five classes in 8D.  I taught them about the construction of  square and rectangle.

               I used activity method, constructivist model and problem solving method for teaching the concept. the students where very active and cooperative. I was very happy to teach  them. But some of them were very weak in study. So I gave special attention to them. My teacher came for observation in this weak. I tried to avoid the mistakes which I made in the first teaching practice.

                   I have got chance to see class taken by Somiya jose. It was really an opportunity for me to understand different methods in teaching. 

                     there were morning assembly on Wednesday.  FM radio was very active in this school. there were a gust for this week to interact with students.

                                                 ST.XAVIER'S H.S.S PEYAD

  

   My second phase teaching practice was started on 7/11 /19 In st.xavier's high school Peyad.  Somiya jose from physical science option was also with me. We got a warm welcome from the head mistress and teachers. I got standard 8D for taking classess. It was malayalam meedium and there were 28 students in the class.

First day there was no classes due to the sub district art festival 2019. It was conducted in St.Xavier's H.S,S Peyad. Second day also there was no classes  due to the lack of students. It was a cleaning day.

CLEANING DAY

                 As a part of Gandhi jayanthi our college conducted the cleaning day program on October 1. 

              The program was officially inaugurated by our director Dr. Fr. Sony Sebastian C M I. The entire students along with teachers were divided into four groups were assigned different areas in and around the college for cleaning.

               My group was assigned the back side. In the afternoon we were served with porridge and pickle.

AN AWARENESS CLASS ON CHILD RIGHTS AND POSCO ACT

As a future teacher and as an eminent citizen it is important for us to know about the child rights and the POSCO act. 

            A very important and an informative class on these topics were delivered to us by Sr. Biji Jose CMC. she is currently a member of Kerala Child Rights Commission.

                                         

                                  This programe was started with a welcome speech delivered Sr Linta joseph followed by introduction from our Principal madam Dr M S Geetha. Sr Biji taught us the importance of knowing the children's rights and about POSCO acts with different sections coming under it and as a future teacher how to take necessary steps and actions if we come across any of the situations and cases coming under this section. 

                                      

The class was followed by an interactive questionnaire session and finally program concluded with the vote of thanks. The class was truly an important and an informative one.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

TEACHERS DAY

CNCians celebrated teachers day on 4rth of september 2019. The chief guest for the function mrs Kaikasi, Assistant professor department of English, University college Trivandrum. The program started with a prayer song followed by the welcome speech by Ann. The function was officially inaugurated by our chief guest followed by honouring of our beloved teachers. Various games and activities were organised for our teachers which were actively taken part by them.

                                                                                                                           

MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES FROM A M H S S THIRUMALA

My experiences in AMHSS Thirumala was really a memorable one. Each day each students taught me lot of lessons. The teachers were very supportive and they considered us one among them.

MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES

 PAPER BAG AND FILE MAKING

As the part of our environmental study, we taught the students to make paper bags and files. It is to avoid plastic materials. First we selected two students from each class and asked them to assemble in a class. head master B. Krishnakumar sir inaugurated the program. We explained the problems caused by plastic materials and the importance of wiping out plastic materials from our school compound. We asked them to bring chart paper, scale and scissors next day. 

on  29-7-2019, Tuesday from 12.45 to 2.00 pm U.P School student came with materials and we taught them to make paper files.  
Next day high school students made files with charts. After that we taught them to make paper bags. 

 

On Thursday, an assembly was conducted at 9.30 am. The prizes for the winners of DR. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM  quiz competition conducted by the teacher trainees from Christ nagar college of 

education  were distributed.
